Managed Care

Is it possible for an optometrist to get helpful advice about dealing with managed care from a lawyer? It does seem that the legal world primarily provides warnings of impending antitrust doom and few other solutions. And even when attorneys do offer a possible remedy, it is likely to be problematic, such as the recommendation that optometrists seek legislation to alter the current state of the law. Legislation is only effective if it passes, and the political process can be a lengthy and uncertain one. Also, legislative victories are often measured in small increments. Other solutions an attorney might offer depend upon what the client is really asking. This article will investigate what a typical optometrist/client might expect in terms of help from his or her attorney regarding managed care.
